With apologies to those of you shivering your socks off elsewhere on the globe, it sure is hot and steamy here in Europe. I guess we could blame it on the jet stream, or our ever-increasing proximity to an incredible alignment with the centre of our Milky Way Galaxy but I'm inclined to pin it on the ongoing Saturn/Uranus opposition.
This alignment is a classic indicator of see-sawing extremes between Earth (Saturn) and Sky (Uranus). It may be quite wide at the moment (Saturn's at 16 Virgo and Uranus at 26 Pisces) but heliocentrically, which is if we were looking at planets from the Sun, they are in exact opposition now.
We can also throw the annual aphelion of Earth from the Sun into the mix. Aphelion means the maximum distance that a planet gets from the Sun ( remember this by the memory trick ap= apart, helion = Sun). Symbolically then aphelion is another type of opposition, which can be thought of in terms of two forces at two ends of a rope. The Sun and Earth are always in a gravitational attraction but symbolically the tension is ratcheted up to its maximum.
This years aphelion occurs on July 4th and although the Earth is its farthest from the Sun, temperatures, according to NASA, rise +/- 4 degrees in both hemispheres at this time. You can read about it here, it's all down to physics
I just went to retrieve that URL for NASA and noticed that an earthquake has just occurred off Crete. It is reported as a 6.7 but no other news as yet. What I came across as I looked for the time, however, was a couple of other reports of fairly large earthquakes in the last week - one in Alaska, one in China, one in Honduras and a small one in Italy. Earthquakes are happening all the time but a few large ones within a few days of each other is 'heightened activity'. Could this be due to the fact that the Earth is approaching aphelion?
Actually it's probably a confluence of factors; the planet Uranus appeared to stand still and turn around at 08.37 BST today ( known as retrograde motion). Historically, this has often equated to increased earthquake activity. Jupiter and Neptune are 9 days away from their exact conjunction, plus we have an approaching eclipse too. This occurs at 29 degrees Cancer on 22 July 2009. Eclipses are notorious for casting their influence ahead of them. A look at the ACG map of the lunation (Full Moon) prior to an eclipse can be an accurate method for forecasting locations on the Earth's surface where events may occur.
Here is the ACG map for the Full Moon of 7th July 2009 and as you can see Pluto, planet of eruptions (the uprising of the underbelly of the earth to the surface) is right there over Crete. So, I'm no seismologist, but I would suspect this earthquake was due to an undersea volcano or maybe even an on-land one coming back to life. The fact that 7th July hasn't even occurred yet is testament to the increasing understanding that time is not linear but all bound up in the 'Now'. That's' a whole (excuse the pun) other subject!
Note the Moon/Uranus yellow line going horizontally across the map. This is what we call a Paran. Parans show where two planets have simultaneous angularity and this 'mundane square' is said to cast its influence around the globe. Uranus is always around whenever there's a jolt or a shock.
One way to think of ACG lines is as Ley lines. Ley means light, so literally Ley lines = lines of light. As we well know, light comes from the Sun and other stars but most people equate Ley lines with lines of power emanating from beneath the Earth, like underground currents of energy. It could well be that the position of fixed stars mirror the well known static Ley lines on Earth and that the moving planets, although transmitting no light of their own, correspond to temporary power lines across the face of the Earth as it rotates. This is, after all, the whole premise of ACG.

I'd also like to just take this opportunity to refer you back to my post from about 2 years ago on the Nuclear Era. In that, using ACG, I stated that it looks like Iran will become a location to watch carefully as we lead up to September 2009. September is also when the Geocentric ( from viewpoint of Earth) Saturn/Uranus opposition , mentioned earlier will become exact again. So massive tension over the nuclear threat in the Middle East is once again looming.
I have just heard the time of the Crete earthquake and it was 12.30pm local off the SE of Chania.
Here's the map. Earlier I was talking about the stationing of Uranus and how it is related to jolts and here Uranus is through Crete today at this time. These lines move fast so 10 mins before or after and the Uranus 'power line' would not have been through Crete. At 12.20 it would have been to the right of the island.
